The shopkeeper beat up a farmer who went to take fertilizer in Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh. After the farmer refused to take zinc, the shopkeeper first hit him with sticks and then showering the slippers on him. During this time, the people present there made a video of this incident, which is now going viral on social media.

As soon as the video went viral, the police, who came into action, arrested Pankaj Chaudhary, the operator of the fertilizer store, and his colleague Jais Mohammad and put them in lockup. Along with this, the license of the shop of the accused has also been canceled by the administration.

Actually, the crisis of urea fertilizer in Maharajganj, situated on the Indo-Nepal border, is getting deeper. A major reason for this is Nepal smuggling of manure. To curb this, vigil has been increased on the Indo-Nepal border. Recently, Commissioner Anil Dhingra also visited the border and took stock of the situation. Police and SSB teams are constantly recovering manure, which proves that large quantity of fertilizer is being sent illegally to Nepal.

Meanwhile, this incident happened with farmer Brahmdev Chaurasia, a resident of Lehra Bazar Tola Muradpur. On demanding urea fertilizer, the shopkeeper Pankaj Chaudhary committed indecency with the farmer and beaten with slippers. As soon as the video went viral, the police arrested Pankaj Chaudhary and Jais Mohammed. A case has been filed against him in several sections.

District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma said that as soon as the matter came to cognizance, the Agriculture Officer investigated and after being found guilty, the license of the shopkeeper was canceled with immediate effect. He said that 278 raids have been conducted in a month, two FIRs have been registered, four shops have been sealed and 25 shops have been suspended.
