Up: The student attempted suicide by writing ‘Good bye in My Life’, lost life in 19 minutes from Meta Alert – Gorakhpur Instagram Goodbye in My Life Suicide Alert Up Police Saved LCLCN

In Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh, the life of an 18 -year -old student could be saved due to timely alert and the readiness of the police. A student of Belghat police station area posted a photo while attempting suicide on Instagram on the night of 29 July 2025. In the photo, he tried to hang a noose with a fan and wrote the caption with him – ‘Good bye in my life’.

The social media company Meta, considering the student’s post as serious, sent an email alert to the social media center of Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters at 12:48 pm on July 29. As soon as the information was received, Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Krishna gave instructions for immediate action.

The social media team of the headquarters traced the location of the student on the basis of the mobile number recorded in the alert and alerted the police station concerned. As soon as the information was received, the sub -inspector and female constable of Belghat police station area reached the girl’s house in just 19 minutes. The police immediately dragged the student with the help of family members and got first aid.

‘Was under mental stress due to quarrel with boyfriend’

During interrogation, the student said that she was under mental stress due to a quarrel with the boyfriend and sat on suicide. The police explained to the student through counseling, on which she promised not to take such a step in future. The family appreciated the joint readiness of the police and the meta.

Let us know that from 2022, an alert system has started for suicide prevention between UP Police and Meta, under which 1 thousand 181 people have been saved from January 1, 2023 to 25 July 2025.
