US President Donald Trump indicated on Thursday (June 26, 2025) that there could be a major trade agreement with India. Speaking at the Big Beautiful Bill program at the White House, Trump confirmed an agreement with China and indicated significant progress in India -related matters.
According to the report of news agency ANI, Trump said that everyone wants to do a deal and participate in it. Remember what the media was saying a few months ago, we have signed with China yesterday, we are making some great deals. We are probably going to do a deal with India, very big. Where we are going to open India for business, just like China.
‘Every country will not be treated equally’
The US President said that every country will not be treated equally. We are not going to deal with everyone, we will just send a letter to some thank you. You have to pay 25, 35, 45 percent. This is an easy way to do and my people do not want to do it in this way, they want to do some of it, but they want to deal with me more than me.

Piyush Goyal had already given information
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal confirmed earlier this month that New Delhi and Washington were actively working on bilateral trade agreement. Piyush Goyal said in a press conference on 10 June that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Trump met in February 2025. Both our leaders have decided to enact a bilateral trade agreement which will be mutually beneficial for both economies, both parties businesses and people of both countries.
‘Our deal with China has been done’
Donald Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social and wrote, “We have got a deal with China.” He confirmed that China would supply rare meaning magnets and any necessary rare items.
The White House later clarified that the two governments had agreed to implement the Geneva Agreement. A senior official said that the Trump administration and China agreed to an additional understanding to implement the Geneva Agreement. He said that meditation was on how we can implement rapidly.
