Pakistan’s top leadership again reached the door of America after about 3 months. Earlier on 18 June 2025, Field Marshal Asim Munir met Trump. This time Asim Munir came to meet Trump with Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. At 4.30 pm on 25 September, Trump met these two in a closed room of the Oval Office.
According to his habit, Trump said longer about this meeting. President Trump made them wait in a room for more than half an hour before meeting Shahbaz Sharif and Asim Munir. When Asim Munir and Shahbaz Sharif were waiting for Trump sitting in the room, at the same time Trump was gossiping them in a room filled with journalists. In a conversation with the media, Trump described Shahbaz Sharif and Asim Munir as the ‘great leader’. And said that both of them are waiting for me inside.

When Trump came to meet both his guests, the door of the room was closed for the press. This was a pattern against Trump’s previous meetings. Trump often holds a long wide team with him in a meeting with the heads of state.
According to Washington, the meeting was scheduled to start at 4:30 pm, but Trump made Shahbaz and Munir a lot in a closed room. Due to this, there was a delay of about 30 minutes in this meeting. The meeting lasted for about one hour and 20 minutes.
Pakistan’s newspaper Don has written in its report, “In the pictures, Prime Minister Shahbaz and Field Marshal Munir were seen patiently waiting on the gold furniture from the Oval office, while the US President was ending his previous program across the room. When US Secretary of State Rubio entered the room, he could be seen enthusiastically greeting the two leaders.”
This is the first formal bilateral conversation of Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, which is taking place by former Prime Minister Imran Khan six years after Trump’s first term in July 2019.
Trump told reporters before meeting these two leaders, “I am very dissatisfied with Russia and President Putin.
