US President Donald Trump has indicated in an interview to Breetbart News on Wednesday (March 19) that he hopes that India may soon reduce its tariffs on American products. Donald Trump said, “I am confident that India is going to reduce the tariffs on America soon. But on April 2 we will charge the same tariff from India”
Earlier, Donald Trump had said that whatever country he imposes on American goods, we will collect the same tariff from that country from April 2. However, Trump’s statement came to light a few days after his claim, in which he said that India has agreed to reduce tariffs.
He further said, “India charges a lot of tariffs from us. Very much. You cannot sell anything in India. But now they have agreed to reduce it, because now someone is opening their pole.”
