Zimbabwe, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, South Africa and West Indies qualified on their own ratings while the US, Tanzania, Afghanistan, Japan, Japan and Scotland were decided by the regional qualifying competition.
