In Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh, a man was beaten to death by his son-in-law and his family. Based on the complaint of the relatives of the deceased, the police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code. The accused are absconding after committing the crime. Police is searching for them.
According to Iglas Area Officer (CO) Bhavre Deeksha Arun, this incident took place in Nagla Balram of the district on Monday. The victim, Nisar Khan, a resident of village Rigspuri, received a call from his daughter Asma, who was married three years ago. She told that her husband and in-laws were harassing her for dowry.
After talking to his daughter, Nisar Khan along with his family members immediately reached her village, Nagar Balram. It was decided to organize a village panchayat to resolve the matter amicably. But during the proceedings the dispute between the two parties escalated, which very soon turned into a terrible fight.
Nisar Khan’s son-in-law Sameer and half a dozen people attacked him brutally. During this, Sameer attacked his father-in-law with sticks and bricks, in which he was seriously injured. After this, people took Nisar Khan to the nearby health center. He died during treatment there.
The police officer said that four other members of his family including his wife and son were seriously injured. He was admitted to the district hospital here. Police have registered a case against seven people including Sameer. All the accused are currently absconding. The police is raiding in search of them.
