Uttarakhand has won five gold medals for the first time in the 38th National Games. Which is still a record in all previous national sports. In the national sports, Uttarakhand is currently expecting medals in many sports including boxing and athletics.

Five boxers of the state Kapil Pokhriyal, Himanshu Solanki, Nivedita, Kajal and Narendra Singh have reached the final match of boxing. These players will compete with players from various states for gold on Friday.

Pooja of Uttarakhand in the under-57 kg category in the women’s tests, performed brilliantly and won the gold medal. Shivani Lala Bhilare of Maharashtra won the silver medal.

In the under-73 kg category, Itiisha Das of Chandigarh won the gold medal, while Telangana’s Payam Harshpradha won the silver medal. Tavisha Kakadia of Gujarat captured the gold medal in the under-46 kg category. While Visakha Sah of Uttarakhand won the silver medal.

On the other hand, there were also tremendous matches in the male georgi competitions. In the under-54 kg category, Ankit Mer of Services won the gold medal.

Whereas in the under-68 kg category, Naveen of Services captured the gold medal. The final match of the under-87 kg category was very exciting, in which Shashank Singh Patel of Services won the gold medal.

Medal Table Services Top and Uttarakhand at 14th position

However, Uttarakhand is ranked 14th in the medal table which has won a total of 39 medals with five gold, 17 silver and 17 bronze medals. The Service Sports Control Board (SSCB) team won 31 gold medals and made it to the first place by leaving Karnataka behind.

Karnataka reached the second position:-

In the medal table, Karnataka is second to win a total of 56 medals including 30 gold, 11 silver and 15 bronze medals. However, Maharashtra has won 94 medals including 19 gold, 38 silver and 37 bronze. But Maharashtra is at number three due to the low number of gold medals.

In the medal table, Madhya Pradesh is fourth with 39 medals, Haryana in fifth place, Tamil Nadu in sixth place, Manipur is seventh place, Delhi at eighth place, Kerala is ninth and Punjab is tenth.
