Uttarakhand Kotdwar Private Bus Service Company – 9 arrested for grabbing Rs 2.5 crore from a private bus service company in Uttarakhand ntcpvz

In Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, nine officials of a major private bus services company have been arrested for grabbing Rs 2.5 crore from the company’s fund with different excuses. The officials gave this information on Thursday.

Police said that arrests were made on Wednesday after a complaint lodged in March by the current secretary of Garhwal Motor Owners Union Limited. In the complaint, Vijaypal has accused nine people, including former GMOU president, manager and accountant, of cheating money in the name of various items.

According to PTI, the investigation of the case has confirmed that the accused had conspired and grabbed 2 crore, 48 lakh and 43 thousand rupees in the name of building, computer repair and maintenance and traffic system in petrol pumps made in the name of dead persons. In many cases, fake payments were reportedly made to fake persons.

Those arrested include former chairman and chief conspirator of the company Jeet Singh Patwal, former Managing Director Usha Sajwan, former treasurer Ashwani Kumar Rawat, former Assistant Accounts Officer Manjit Saini, Clerk Ashok Kumar, Cashier Assistant Mukesh Kumar, Petrol Section Clerk Virendra Khantwal, Accounts Officer Rakesh Mohan Tyagi and Head Office acting Cashier Rajesh Budhakoti.
