A 20 -year -old youth who hit five people from a car on Thursday in Vadodara, Gujarat denied that he had drunk alcohol during the incident. Because of which he did not see the eye and 4 other people standing on the road were crushed. At the same time, the young man has also refused to drive a car at a high speed.

During the interaction with the media, the young man Rakshit Chaurasia said, “There was a pit near the intersection. I tried to get out of the side by looking at the place but due to the pit my car collided with the scooter moving ahead. The airbag opened due to the shock. Which caused nothing further and others were crushed. The speed of my car was not more than 50 km per hour.

However, a video has also surfaced from the accident site, in which the drunk protected is seen getting out of the car after the drunk accident and shouting “another round”. However, Rakshit denied that he was driving at a fast pace.

Accident took place late Thursday night

The accident took place near Karelibagh area at around 12.30 pm on Thursday. After this, Rakshit Chaurasia was arrested. He hails from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and is studying law in a university in Vadodara.

The second accused in this case, who owns the car and was traveling with Chaurasia at the time of the accident, was also arrested. He has been identified as Meet Chauhan, who lives in Vadodara. He is also a student of a private university. According to the information available, Chaurasia was driving a car at a speed of 120 kmph. A woman was killed in this accident. While 4 other people are injured. Those who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Here, Vadodara Police Commissioner Narasimha Komar said, “… This incident includes three other vehicles besides a four-wheeler. Eight people were injured in the accident and one woman died. Several investigation teams are investigating the incident. The team is collecting evidence from the incident. Police are gathering evidence from the spot.
