Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a tremendous innings in the third U-19 Youth ODI against England on Wednesday. The 14 -year -old young batsman scored 86 runs in just 31 balls, including 6 fours and record 9 sixes.
On the basis of his explosive innings, India defeated England by 4 wickets in the rain-affected match and took a 2–1 lead in the five-match series.

Suryavanshi’s innings included six fours and nine sixes. Actually, the nine sixes hit by Suryavanshi are the most sixes in the Under-19 ODI. He left behind Mandeep Singh’s previous record of eight sixes.
Suryavanshi, after reaching the first two matches crossed 40, regretted the half -century in this match. He attacked the England bowlers from the beginning. In the third over, he hit two consecutive sixes to Sebastian Morgan, then hit a four with two more sixes in the next over. In the sixth over, James Minto scored 23 runs in a single over with three sixes and a four in a single over.
By the time Suryavanshi was out in the 8th over, India had chased 111 runs. However, after this, India’s innings stumbled for some time and the team had increased to 199/6 by the 24th over.

But all -rounder Kanishka Chauhan (43 not out) and RS Ambish (31 not out), who took three wickets, gave the team victory with an unwavering partnership of 75 runs for the seventh wicket.
Earlier, England scored a strong score of 268/6 with the help of innings of captain Thomas Royu (76 not out) and Ben Docins (62). Docins and Isaq Mohammad (41) gave a good start by adding 78 runs for the first wicket. Later Ritu’s fiery innings increased the score rapidly
