Left hand batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi has broken the record of the fastest young ODI century by completing his century in 52 balls. This record was earlier in the name of Kamran Ghulam of Pakistan. Ghulam achieved this feat in 53 balls against England in 2013. Among the Indian players, this record was the name of Raj Angad Bawa, who scored a century in 69 balls against Uganda in the Under-19 World Cup in 2022.
Vaibhav scored a century at the age of 14 years 100 days
Along with this, he has also become the youngest batsman of young cricket. Suryavanshi is 14 years and 100 days old. He broke the record of Nazmul Hussain Shanto of Bangladesh, who crossed the three digits at the age of 14 years and 241 days.
