In a case related to Tonk’s Malpura riot case today (Tuesday), a special court of communal riot cases has acquitted all the 13 accused giving the benefit of doubt.

The court in its judgment questioned the police investigation. The court said- there were three investigating officers in this case. No one investigated the case properly.
VK Bali and Sonal Dadhich, the lawyers of the accused, said- the statements of all the witnesses in this case were contradictory. The witnesses said- the faces of the accused were covered.
He said that the police did not even recover the weapon, which was said to be murder.
We told the court- Section 144 was installed in the area at the time of the incident. The witnesses produced by the police were not present at the time of the incident.
The court also admitted that the police did not get any identification parade except one accused.
In this case, Shahzad had lodged a report at the Malpura police station that the people of the particular community had killed his brother Mohammad Salim and uncle Mohammad Ali.
A case was registered against 22 accused Purushottam Banwada, a lawyer of the victim side, said- In 2000, there was a riot between two sects in Malpura. In this, Hariram and Kailash Mali were killed from one side.
Four people were also killed from the other side. Cases were registered by both sides. There were a total of 22 accused in it. 7 accused were acquitted from the High Court in 2016 itself. One accused has died. Due to an accused being a minor, his case is going on in Juvenile Board. 13 accused were left.
