Two Indian Navy officers narrowly escaped a major accident during the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) operational demo rehearsal at Ramakrishna Beach in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. While landing during the rehearsal, their parachutes got entangled in the air, due to which both the officers quickly fell into the water.
This incident happened during the preparations for the grand operational demo, the main event of which was organized today by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. It was going to happen in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu. Both the officers involved in the incident were members of the Navy’s special MARCOS (Marine Commando) team.
Video footage shows that one officer was landing safely, while the other officer’s parachute got entangled in the air, causing both of them to rapidly fall into the water from a height. It is fortunate that a major accident was averted. Rescue boats deployed at the spot immediately swung into action and the officers were rescued safely.
