Several leaders, including Rahul-Priyanka, were detained during the Protest March.
On Monday, 300 MPs of the opposition took out a march from Parliament to the Election Commission office on the allegation of voter verification and votes theft in the election. During this period, many opposition MPs including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav were detained in the Lok Sabha. The police took him to Parliament Street Police Station, from where it was released after 2 hours.
After being detained, Rahul Gandhi said that this is a fight to save the constitution. This is a person-one vote fight, so we need a clean voter list. At the same time, Priyanka Gandhi said that this government is scared and coward.
During March, Akhilesh tried to move forward by trapping barricading. When the MPs were not allowed to go forward, they sat on the ground. Many MPs including Priyanka, Dimple were seen shouting slogans of ‘Vote Chor Gaddi Chhoti’.
During the protest, TMC MPs Mithali Bagh and Mahua Moitra’s health deteriorated. She fainted. Rahul Gandhi and other MPs helped him. Earlier, there was a huge uproar on the issue in both houses.
Delhi Police bid- MPs did not ask for permission for March
The march started from the Capricorn Gate of Parliament. MPs had banners of ‘Vote Bachao’ in their hands. However, Delhi Police had said that India Block has not sought any permission for March, so March was stopped by putting barricades near the Transport Building before going to the Election Commission.

August 7: Rahul’s charge- EC stole election with BJP
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday gave a 22 -page presentation for 1 hour and 11 minutes on a disturbance in the voter list. Rahul showed the voter list of Karnataka on the screen and said that suspected voters are present in the voter list.
He said that after seeing the results of Maharashtra, our suspicion was strong that the election had been stolen. Not giving the machine reedable voter list, we were confident that the Election Commission has stolen Maharashtra elections with the BJP.
Rahul said that we introduced a model of vote theft here, I think this model was used in many Lok Sabha and Assembly of the country. The Karnataka Election Commission has sought an affidavit on Rahul’s allegations. Said that they should complain in writing so that further action can be taken.
August 8: EC said that Rahul’s claims are correct and signed affidavits
The Election Commission has asked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to sign his claim of vote theft and sign on the affidavit. If they do not trust their claims, then apologize to the country.
News agency ANI gave information about this by quoting sources in the Election Commission. According to sources, Rahul believes that if his allegations on the Election Commission are true, then he should not have any problem in signing the affidavit.

August 10: Election Commission asks for evidence from Rahul
Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) sent notice to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi seeking evidence on his vote theft statement. On August 7, Rahul alleged that more than 1 lakh votes were stolen in Mahadevpura assembly seat and a woman voted twice.
On Sunday 10 August, CEO wrote in a letter sent to the Congress leader that the documents and screen shots that Rahul showed in the presentation did not match the Election Commission records.
