Waqf amendment bill 2025 , Maulana Shahabuddin Rajvi Barelvi, the national president of ‘All India Muslim Jamaat’, has welcomed the passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill, 2025 in the Lok Sabha on Thursday (April 3). Along with this, he has expressed hope that this bill will change the economic situation of poor Muslims in the country. He also expressed confidence that this bill will also be passed in the Rajya Sabha.

Rajvi said that when this bill is passed, there is hope that some good work will be done in the country and ‘tremendous revolution’ will come in the economic condition of poor Muslims. He said that he thanks all the Lok Sabha members who have voted in favor of this bill.
Maulana Rajvi of Barelvi Masalak said that he also congratulates the central government that he has taken a very good step by passing this bill and has taken a good initiative for “ending evil”.

He alleged, “The people holding the Waqf Board met the land mafia and sold the prices of the Revdis to crores of lands. According to Waqf’s intention, there was no work. The intention of Waqf was that the income from him should be spent on poor, weak and yatim Muslims, but that income used to go to the pockets of only a few people.
Waqf Amendment Bill passed in Lok Sabha late night
The Lok Sabha passed the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025 and Muslim Waqf (Relations) Bill, 2024 on Wednesday (April 2) on Wednesday (April 2) after strong opposition from members of various opposition parties and discussing for more than 10 and a half hours. The Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025, was passed by 288 votes against 232, rejecting the amendments of opposition members. The House also approved the Muslim Waqf (Relations) Bill, 2024 by voice.
