The Janata Dal (United) MP and Panchayati Raj Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh attacked the Congress fiercely during the discussion in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday (April 2, 2025) on the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025. He said that nowadays the Rashtriya Janata Dal with whom the Congress is with, stood in the Lok Sabha and said that a strict law should be brought against Waqf.
Lalan Singh said, ‘Right now his colleagues of secularism are, the party of KC Venugopal, whose background remains. Today, his speech in this Lok Sabha is becoming viral, who has said that the entire Dak Bungalow Chowk of Patna has been captured and kept by Waqf, strict laws should be made and those people should be sent away. Just go out and see Venugopal ji, otherwise I will say, I will also send it.
Lalan Singh supported the bill and said, ‘What is today’s law. In the morning, Kiren Rijiju, who was giving a speech that we have abolished Section 40. Kiren Rijiju Saheb is eligible for thanks. He worked to save the Lok Sabha building and Rashtrapati Bhavan’s building. Otherwise, Waqf would say that this is also the property of my Waqf. What is such a law in the country that Waqf put hands on which hand and it became his property.
He also responded to the statements being made repeatedly by the Congress regarding secularism on JDU. He said, ‘The statement of a Congress party leader in the newspaper is printed that JDU is a secular party to see it. JDU and Nitish Kumar do not need your certificate. Your definition for secularism is to divide the country, do politics of emotion and rule the country by taking votes for votes. The definition of our secularism is to work without any dispute and work for every section of the society.
He said that the BJP was his partner as much as Nitish Kumar did in Bihar for the rights of Muslims. This work was done with the support of BJP. Where do you stand, you keep doing such chilpo-chailpo like this is not known to happen.
