Giriraj Singh Hits Congress: The Waqf Amendment Bill, which has been a topic of discussion in the country for a long time, was finally passed in the Rajya Sabha at midnight on Thursday (April 3). Earlier on Wednesday (April 2), the bill was passed by the lower house of Parliament with a majority of 288 votes. After being passed by the Rajya Sabha, this bill crossed two phases towards the law. Meanwhile, Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh has targeted the Congress over the Waqf Amendment Bill, 2025. The Union Minister shared a post on the social media platform X on Friday (April 4). In this post, he taunted the Congress and wrote, “Congress had made the Waqf Board a laboratory of Gajwa-e-Hind.”
He wrote, “The intention of the Congress was clear … In the name of appeasement, preparing a vote bank by giving privilege to the Waqf Board. The old law was a corruption factory. But now the Modi government’s move will be free from the mafia rule and India will breathe openly.”

We have improved the mistakes of Congress- Giriraj Singh
Union Minister Giriraj Singh told the news agency ANI after the Waqf Amendment Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha, “The mistakes made by the Congress in 2013, we have improved it. It has placed the poor and women in it. We hope that in the coming days, there will be a happy Waqf Board scene and the poor will not get the land, but the poor will not get their land.”
