The study made on 1.40 million adults in 17 countries has found that weak grip increases the risk of heart attack and stroke. It is also associated with osteoporosis, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, rising risk and obesity as well as cognetary health. For all these reasons, doctors often use grip strength to learn about the health of the patient, including the ability to recover from surgery or to survive independent.

36 to 45 years women: 25-29 kg, men 42-48 kg, 46 to 60 years of women 20-28 kg, male 35-47 kg.
61 to 75 years women: 18-26 kg, male 30-45 kg more than 75 females 16-20 kg, male 25-40 kg.

What to do to increase strength?
