Weather Today: Meteorological Department alert for many states including electricity, UP-Delhi and Bihar

The monsoon is at its peak in the country. Due to heavy rains in many states, public life has been disturbed. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rain for Monday (July 28, 2025). Apart from the country’s capital Delhi, heavy rain alert has been issued in UP, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Thunderstorms are expected in Delhi on Monday (28 July 2025). According to the Meteorological Department, celestial electricity can also shine during this period. There is a possibility of light rain in many areas including Laxmi Nagar, Rohini, Pitampura, Badli, Mundka, Paschim Vihar and Punjabi Bagh.

Warning of heavy rain in these districts of UP, Bihar
A warning has been issued on Monday (28 July 2025) for many districts of UP, Meerut. Heavy rains have been expected in Saharanpur, Bijnor, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Hapur, Rampur, Bulandshahr, Kannauj, Hardoi, Kanpur Dehat, Sitapur, Kheri, Jhansi, Jalaun and Hamirpur. A warning of torrential rains and thunderstorms has been issued for Patna, Western Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Siwan, Saran, Begusarai, Nalanda, Khagaria, Madhepura and Jehanabad.

How will the weather be in Rajasthan?
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain for more than 10 cities of Rajasthan. There is a possibility of heavy rains in the capital Jaipur, Ajmer, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Pali, Nagaur, Bhilwara, Sikar, Sirohi and Rajsamand. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain for Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Ditaya, Bhind, Morena, Tikamgarh, Niwari in Madhya Pradesh. During this time, people have been appealed to be careful.

Disaster in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand
Talking about the hill states, Himachal Pradesh has an alert of heavy rain on Monday (28 July 2025). These include Shimla, Kangra, Hamirpur, Kullu, Mandi, Sirmaur, Kinnaur districts. At the same time, Orange alert of heavy rains has been issued at Champawat, Nainital and Bageshwar in Uttarakhand, while a yellow alert of heavy rains has been issued for Tehri, Dehradun, Pauri and Pithoragarh.

Torrential rain alert in Gujarat, Maharashtra
Alert of torrential rain has been issued on Monday and Tuesday in many cities of Gujarat and Maharashtra. Due to heavy rains in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, people’s problems may increase.
