Mamata bnerjee appeals for ramnavmi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday (April 2) appealed to all the communities of the state to celebrate the festival of Ram Navami peacefully without paying attention to the rumors. Ramnavami will be celebrated on Sunday (April 6).
During this, the Chief Minister took a dig at the BJP by targeting. Indirectly pointed to the BJP, Banerjee described it as a ‘jumla’ organization, whose only agenda is to divide the country on the basis of religion.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee told reporters at the state secretariat, “I appeal to all communities to maintain peace during Ram Navami, to pay attention to rumors and be cautious.”
He said, “I request you not to be involved in any riots. Remember, this is his trick. In Bengal, we follow the teachings of Ramakrishna, Vivekananda, not of Jumla Party. Do not disturb the festivals other than this.”
Banerjee said, “Remember that religion belongs to a person, but festivals are for everyone. We respect all religions, but not those who commit violence in the name of organizing rallies.”
Police restrictions should be followed along with the procession – Mamta
The Chief Minister said, “Take out a procession with Punjabi saber-you can also take out a procession, but you should follow the police restrictions and do not cause problems by going to other areas.”
He said, “I have no objection to the procession during Ram Navami. People will celebrate the festival in their own way.” He said, “I will participate in a program of Jain community on April 9. I will participate in a program of Jain community to celebrate Mahavir Jayanti. Therefore, if I can take everyone along, why not you?”
Referred to rumor of resignation from CM post
Referring to the rumor going on in the state that he has resigned as Chief Minister, Banerjee said that an FIR has been registered in relation to this matter.
Banerjee questioned, “Yesterday he started spreading rumors that I have resigned from the post of Chief Minister. They are spreading such fake things using digital media. We have registered an FIR. Why are you making these fake videos?”
Mamta Banerjee commented on left parties
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief accused the Left parties of colluding with the BJP. He said, “I respect many leftist leaders, but not those who become friends of BJP when the elections come close.”
