Canadian Prime Minister Mark Karney appeared a lot of alert while sharing his discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on his land during the G7 Summit on Wednesday. Talking to reporters, Carney said that the two leaders discussed the importance of law enforcement negotiations and direct cooperation, because the judicial process is going on. He said that there is a need to be careful about the statement about this.

Controversy after allegations of Trudeau
Wanted Nijjar was shot on Canada’s land in June 2023 due to India involved in terrorist activities. A few months later, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a shocking allegation that Ottawa is a shock evidence of the involvement of Indian government agents in the killing of Nijjar in British Columbia.

During the bilateral meeting, Prime Minister Modi and his Canadian counterpart shared a positive attitude to carry forward the diplomatic relations between the two countries after a long tension. Prime Minister Modi congratulated him on Carney’s victory in the recent Canadian elections and talked about his faith in India and Canada’s growing relations in many areas.
Meanwhile, Carney praised PM Modi for attending every G7 summit from 2018 and also mentioned India’s global influence. Answering a question by Gaurav Sawant of Aaj Tak dialogue, Canadian PM said, ‘Prime Minister Modi has participated in every G7 since 2018, which shows the size of the Indian economy, the dynamics of the Indian economy, the dynamics of the Indian economy, the Indian technology and the G20 and beyond events.’
