Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina withdrew their names from the match. The organizers canceled the match between India and Pakistan. There is a continuous response from Pakistan about this. Kamil Khan, owner of Pakistan Champions, has said that if his team and India reach the final of the World Championship of Legends, then the decision will be taken at that time and no other changes will be made in the current schedule of the tournament.

Fans on social media expressed displeasure over the former Indian players who participated in the match with Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. The match was to be played on Sunday, 20 July at Edgbaston, Birmingham. After the match was canceled, it was not clear whether Pakistan would continue to participate in WCL or not. Kamil told what can be expected in the knockout stage of the tournament.

The team owner cut off the question when asked what will happen if India and Pakistan qualify for the final. Kamil said, “If we reach the finals, a decision will be taken at that time. Two digits will be given to us for this match and we are entitled to those marks according to the rules.”

The second edition of the England and Wales Cricket Board tournament, which has been owned by Bollywood star Ajay Devgan, began on 18 July at Edgbaston, Birmingham and is scheduled for the final on 2 August.
