On flagging off the drone, Admiral R Hari Kumar said that this is an important opportunity and a big step for India which is seeking self-reliance in ISR technology and maritime supremacy. He said that Adani Group has worked systematically over the past several years to develop local capabilities beyond manufacturing and has demonstrated its commitment to unmanned systems. He said that the integration of Drishti 10 ‘Starliner’ will enhance our naval operations and naval capabilities. Hari Kumar said that this will also strengthen maritime surveillance.
The flag off ceremony of Drishti 10 ‘Starliner’ took place at Adani Aerospace Park in Hyderabad. Adani Defense and Aerospace has made this drone. The company has established capabilities in areas such as small arms, unmanned aerial vehicles, radar, defense electronics and avionics, tactical communication systems and electro-optical systems for army and paramilitary forces.
Adani Defense has also established India’s first Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Manufacturing Facility, India’s first private sector small arms manufacturing facility. The company is also setting up India’s first aircraft MRO and maintenance and repair facility keeping in mind the international standards.
