His son Mansoor Ali Khan is counted among the great captains of India. It is not known, when the BCCI decided to finish the Pataudi heritage in 2025 in a way, why people remained silent.

Perhaps one of the reasons for the silence of the fans was that the trophy was to be given in the name of Sachin Tendulkar instead of the Pataudi Trophy, which was the honor of the master blaster.
