Troubled by the Sindhu water agreement being suspended, Pakistan is repeatedly appealing to India. Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister Ishaq Dar, who arrived in America, has once again requested India to talk to India. Earlier too, Ishaq Dar had made a similar appeal which was rejected by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Rejecting Pakistan’s offer, Rajnath Singh said on Monday that conversations and bloodshed cannot go together.
Just the very next day of the Defense Minister’s statement, the Pakistani Foreign Minister has once again appealed to India to negotiate. Addressing a press conference in New York, Dar said that Pakistan wants talks on every issue with India, which will also include the issue of terrorism.
Supporters of terror, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister tried to show himself a Victim in front of America that Pakistan itself is a victim of terrorism and is ready to work with India on this issue.
America raised the issue of Kashmir in front of foreign minister
India has always been saying that Kashmir is an integral part of India and any dispute about it should be resolved in a bilateral manner.
India has also made it clear that there will be no talks about Kashmir, but if there is any conversation with Pakistan on Kashmir, then it will be on the illegal occupied Kashmir of Pakistan. But Pakistan has always tried unsuccessfully to internationalize the Kashmir issue.
In this sequence, Pakistani Foreign Minister Dar raised the issue of Kashmir in front of his American counterpart Marco Rubio. In this regard, Dar said in a press conference, ‘Foreign Minister Rubio admitted that peace will not come in the area without resolving the Kashmir issue. President Trump has also raised this issue many times.
What is Pakistani Foreign Minister about Sindhu Water Agreement suspension
Talking about the Indus Water Agreement during the press conference, Pakistani Foreign Minister Dar said, “Pakistan’s stand on this issue is clear … This treaty is binding and no side can come out of it unilaterally nor can it make any kind of change in it. No attempt to stop the water of Pakistan will be tolerated.
India has suspended the Indus Water Agreement in 1960 after the Pahalgam attack. On 22 April, 26 tourists were shot dead by Pakistan Sponsor militants in Basaron Valley, Pahalgam.
India blamed Pakistan for this attack and canceled the Indus Water Agreement. Under this agreement, Pakistan gets water from rivers, Indus, Jhelum and Chenab passing through India. Since the suspension of the treaty, Pakistan is getting very little water from these rivers, due to which it is furious.
After the Pahalgam attack, on May 7, India launched Operation Sindoor targeting 9 terrorist bases at Pakistan and PoK in which at least 100 terrorists were killed. After this, the war started in both countries, which ended on May 10 after the ceasefire agreement.
India rejected a day earlier, proposal for Ishaq Dar’s conversation
At first, Pakistan threatened the suspension of the treaty, but when there was no effect, now it has started talking about the conversation. Before going to America and proposed to talk to India, Ishaq Dar gave an interview to the think tank Atlantic Counsel in which he said that Pakistan is ready for talks and the ball is now in India’s court.
He said, ‘Pakistan is ready for talks and cooperation on every front with India, whether it is business or fighting terror.’
But this proposal of Pakistani Foreign Minister has been rejected by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Speaking in the Lok Sabha on Monday, he criticized Pakistan for supporting terrorism and said that terrorists are cremated in Pakistan with military honors.
He said, ‘The language of terrorism is fear, blood and hatred and not the conversation. Any sound of conversation between gunfire bullets has been suppressed. And where there will be bloodshed, how can there be a conversation. Pakistan is trapped in its own trap. No one should have any doubt about the intentions of Pakistan and its policies.
