When will terrorism stop from across the border? Shahbaz Sharif lost on the question; Started jagging, video

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif faced a difficult question before attending the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday (26 September 2025). While entering the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Indian news agency Asian News International (ANI) asked him, “When will Pakistan stop cross-border terrorism?”

On this question, Pakistan’s PM Sharif immediately replied and said, “We are ending terrorism, we are defeating them.” However, the ANI journalist again hit back, “Pakistani PM, India is defeating you.” Sharif did not respond to this comment and went directly to attend the General Assembly session.

Pakistan has always denied allegations

This entire development not only shows Sharif’s uncomfortable situation but also highlights the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. Cross -border terrorism has long been the main cause of dispute between the two countries. India has been continuously accusing Pakistan of promoting terrorism and sheltering terrorist organizations. At the same time, Pakistan always denies these allegations.

India launched Operation Sindoor

India started Operation Sindoor on 7 May 2025. The move was taken in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, in which 26 innocents were killed. The dead included Nepali citizens along with Indians. After this terrorist incident, India took a tough stance and carried out air and missile attacks on 9 terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). The purpose of this operation was to demolish the bases of terror and to prevent such incidents in future. India took this action under its zero tolerance policy against terrorism.
