New Delhi. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will inspect its new stadiums in Karachi and Lahore for the upcoming Champions Trophy. In which ODI series will also be organized with South Africa and New Zealand from 8th February. PCB released the official schedule of the series on Saturday, the final of which will be held on February 14 at the National Stadium in Karachi.

The PCB said the ODI series will be played in a single-league format from February 8 to 14, with the first two matches being played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The last league match and the final of the tournament will be held in Karachi. The board has spent about Rs 1.2 billion on its stadium. The PCB will investigate whether the stadiums are ready in time for the eight-team Champions Trophy.

Pakistan will face New Zealand in the opening match of the Champions Trophy. To prepare for the series, Pakistan and New Zealand will train under lights at Gaddafi Stadium on 6 February. In this, South Africa’s first practice session will be held on the morning of 9 February.

The seating capacity of Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium has been increased by adding new chairs. Additionally, 480 modern LED lights have been installed to improve the broadcast quality. Large digital replay screens have been added for fans. Karachi’s National Stadium has been upgraded, with 350 LED lights, two replay screens and 5,000 new chairs installed for better broadcast visibility.
