Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has been attacked during public hearing. He has suffered a head injury. Delhi Police has also confirmed this incident and the Ministry of Home Affairs has been informed about this. It is being told about the accused that hails from Rajkot in Gujarat. In the initial information, the accused has named his name Rajesh Bhai Khimji Bhai Sakariya. He is 41 years old and he is being questioned further in police custody.
It is being told that after handing over the document, the person suddenly attacked the Chief Minister. The accused is in police custody and he is being questioned and the incident is being investigated. BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar said that no direct connection to any political party of the accused has been confirmed, but the statements given before his attack indicate that he may be associated with any party dissatisfied about his situation in Delhi.

Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said that the accused tried to hold the Chief Minister’s hand, causing a shock and his head collided with the corner of the table. He said that the doctors have stated the status of Gupta, although he is in shock. Sachdeva also clarified that speculation about throwing stones or slapping is completely wrong. Describing Rekha Gupta as a “strong woman”, she said that she will continue her daily work and public hearing.
Political conspiracy is smelled behind the incident- Manjinder Singh Sirsa
Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa described the incident as a “political conspiracy”. She said, “She thinks for Delhi day and night. The opposition is unable to tolerate that the Chief Minister sits in the public for hours and communicates directly with them.” Sirsa said that the political conspiracy is smelled behind this incident and the police will bring out all the facts.
Eyewitnesses claimed to slap
Anjali, an eyewitness to the incident, said, “This is wrong. Everyone has the right to public hearing. I was present there. The accused was talking and suddenly he slapped. The police took him immediately.” According to Delhi Police, DCP reached the spot and the investigation of the entire case is going on.

Congress-AAP leaders condemned the attack
Political reactions on this attack also intensified. Delhi Congress chief Devendra Yadav said, “This is very unfortunate. If the CM of Delhi is not safe then how will the safety of the common man or woman be sure?” Former Chief Minister and AAP MLA Atishi also condemned the attack and said that there is a place of disagreement and protest in democracy, but there is no place for violence. He hoped that the police would take strict action against the accused and the Chief Minister should be completely safe.
