The NIA has taken major action in the case of rocket launcher (RPG) attack at the Fort Lal Singh police station in Batala district of Punjab. The agency has filed a charge sheet against 11 accused in this case. The attack took place in April 2025 and the hand of terrorist organization Babur Khalsa International (BKI) was told behind it. The NIA said that all the 11 accused in the charge sheet are currently arrested. A case has been registered against them under the UAPA, Arms Act and Explosive Substanese Act. At the same time, the other 11 accused involved in this attack are still absconding.

Investigations have revealed that this attack was planned by BKI handlers sitting abroad. Among them, the names of Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pasia, Manu Agwan and Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi Nawashehrians have been revealed. All three are carrying out anti -India activities from Pakistan and other countries … The responsibility of the attack was also publicly taken on social media.

Trying to spread panic by firing rockets at police station

The attack took place on the night of 6 April, when the terrorists tried to spread panic by firing rockets at the police station. NIA investigation revealed that the operatives sitting abroad brainwashed some youths through social media and included in this attack. These youths were provoked in the name of “Khalistan” and lured money and weapons. The NIA took this case from the Punjab Police in May .. According to the agency, the foreign operatives took advantage of the family relationships and weak economic conditions and pushed the youth on the path of terror. Currently, further investigation of this case is continuing under Section 193 (9) of BNSS, so that the absconding accused and other conspirators can be arrested.
