India-canada relations: Canadian Safety Intelligence Service (CSIS) director Daniel Rogers is likely to attend the security conference to be held in India next week. The conference will be held during the Raisina dialogue, which is the major geopolitical and security conference of India.
The security conference will discuss global concerns such as terrorism, cyber security, international crime and emerging technologies. This conference, led by NSA Ajit Doval, will provide a platform for intelligence and security officers around the world for discussion and cooperation.
Improvement in India-Canada’s security relations
The presence of Rogers is considered to be important as it can be a platform to reduce the 2023 tension between the two countries. Last year, Canada had accused India for the murder of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, causing bitterness in relations. This conference may be an opportunity to reinforce India-Canada security relations.
Prominent officers from all over the world will be involved
The conference may also include US National Intelligence Director (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard, Britain’s National Security Advisor Jonathan Powell, and Senior Security Officer of Australia, New Zealand, and UAE. This conference will be an important platform to exchange ideas on global security matters.
Importance of Raisina dialogue
The tenth edition of Raisina Dialogue will be held from 17 to 19 March 2025 in New Delhi. This time New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher will be the chief guest at the Luxon Conference. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Luxon will inaugurate this global platform. The Raiyasina dialogue is a major geophysical and geophysical conference to be held every year. It is organized by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) and the Ministry of External Affairs. This conference brings leaders of political, industrial, media, and civil society on a platform around the world, where they discuss major issues such as international relations, defense, climate change, cyber security, and business.
