India’s assistant coach Ryan Ten Doshe said that it is difficult for star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant to watch the Champions Trophy match from outside but this is the nature of cricket at this level.
Doshe told reporters on Friday, “It has been very difficult for Rishabh to stay out. But this is the nature of sports at this level. KL’s performance has been good. He did not get much opportunities as we had to keep Rishabh ready. We do not know when it is needed. But it is good to be in two best wicketkeeper team. ”
He said, “New Zealand also has four spinners, so it will be a fight for spinners. Before the tournament, we did not think that spinners would have such a big role. But he bowled well and also helped from the pitch. I am sure that the same will happen in the next match.
