spacedotcom’s Report According to NASA Associate Administrator Nicola Fox Said Parker Solar Probe has achieved everything for which the mission was designed. He is flying very close to the sun. The mission was designed with this objective in mind.
According to reports, no man-made object has ever gone as close to the Sun as Parker Solar Probe has. It flew close to the Sun with a speed of 6 lakh 90 thousand kilometers per hour and it is believed that then it would have experienced heat up to 980 degrees Celsius.
This entire flight was automated. Scientists had thoroughly tested the Parker Solar Probe. On December 20, a message came from the spacecraft that all its systems were working properly. Scientists are now waiting for Parker’s response. It is expected that by December 27, Parker Probe can communicate with the control center on Earth.
It cost one and a half billion dollars to build Parker Solar Probe. What and how much data it has collected after flying near the Sun can be known in the new year. With this, scientists will also know how good the health of the spacecraft is.
