Due to import of crude oil and gas from Russia, US President Donald Trump has imposed a 50 percent tariff on India. In such a situation, after imposing tariffs on India, the question is being raised repeatedly whether now President Trump will put additional tariffs on China. But Trump has not yet taken any decision regarding additional tariffs regarding the purchase of oil and gas from Russia on China. At the same time, Vice President J.K. D. Vance said that several aspects of Beijing and Washington’s relationship are different from the relationship with China-Russia.
India will be implemented after two weeks after two weeks
The US had first implemented a tariff of 25 percent on India for the purchase of Russian oil, but in a few days, Trump announced to impose an additional 25 percent tariff of 25 % on India. Due to which Trump’s total tariff on India became 50 percent. The 50 percent tariff imposed by Trump on India is the highest in the tariff imposed on any other partner country in the world. At the same time, the additional 25 percent tariff imposed on India by Trump will be applicable from 27 August 2025 after two weeks.
Relations between China and America quite complex- Vice President
However, in an interview with Fox News Sunday, US Vice President J.K. D. Vance has given a statement regarding imposing additional tariffs on China. During the interview, when Vice President Vance was asked whether President Donald Trump would apply additional tariffs on China like India on the import of Russian oil. Responding to this, Vice President Vance insisted that the relations between America and China are quite complex.
He said, “President Trump has said that he is thinking about it right now, but he has not taken any concrete decision on it yet. It is clear that the issue of China is a bit complicated, because our relations with China and many other things also affect that which has no relation with Russia.” However, Trump has implemented an additional tariff of 30 percent in the form of initial tariffs on China.
