In Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, lightning fell on five women planting paddy in the field on Saturday morning. In this accident, 16 -year -old Sangeeta and 45 -year -old Bhagwanti Devi died on the spot. At the same time, women named Sunita, Preeti and Anita were severely scorched. All scorched women were immediately admitted to the hospital with the help of ambulances, where they are undergoing treatment.
This incident is from Amura village of Karari Kotwali area. It was raining intermittently since morning. Sangeeta, Bhagwanti Devi, Sunita, Preeti and Anita, who hail from Amura village, were planting paddy in the field. Then the lightning suddenly fell with strong roar and glow. The villagers nearby immediately started relief work and took the scorching women to the hospital.

Police and revenue department team reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Both bodies were taken into possession and sent for postmortem and necessary legal proceedings have been started. At the same time, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the family of the deceased to be distributed immediate relief amount and get proper treatment to the people injured by this disaster.
Additional SP Rajesh Singh confirmed that the accident happened due to lightning. He said that the condition of the scorching three women is currently stable and is out of danger. There is mourning among the families of the deceased women, there is a wave of mourning in the village. The process of providing government assistance to the families of the victims has also been started by the administration.
