In the 14th match of Women’s Premier League (WPL) season-3, Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 9 wickets. This is the fourth consecutive defeat of the defending champion RCB. The team has won only 2 matches.

Delhi chose bowling on Saturday at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB scored 147 runs losing 5 wickets. Delhi achieved target at the loss of 1 wicket in 15.3 overs.

Alice Perry puts fifty RCB lost the wicket of captain Smriti Mandhana in the second over after losing the toss. She could score only 9 runs. Danny Wyt-Hodes then completed the team’s fifty by scoring 21 runs. After him, Raghavi Bisht partnered 66 runs of Alice Perry.

Raghavi scored 33 off 32 balls. Alice Perry put a fifty in front of him. He scored 60 runs to bring the team to 147 runs. Richa Ghosh scored 5, Kanika Ahuja 2 and Georgia Wareham scored 12 runs. Shikha Pandey and N Charani took 2–2 wickets from Delhi. Marriage Cap also got 1 wicket.

Shefali hit 4 sixes Delhi, chasing the target of 148 runs, lost the wicket of captain Meg Lanning in the third over. Lanning scored 2 runs off 12 balls. Shefali Verma then won a century partnership with Jess Jonasen and won the team in 15.3 overs.

Shefali scored 80 off 43 balls and Jess Jonasen scored 61 off 38 balls. Shefali hit 8 fours and 4 sixes. Jess hit 9 fours and 1 six. The only wicket from RCB was taken by Renuka Singh Thakur.

Shefali Verma scored 80 runs.

Delhi reached the playoffs After the 5th win in 7 matches, Delhi Capitals made it to the third consecutive season playoffs. Mumbai is second with 3 wins. With 4-4 points, UP is third, Bengaluru fourth and Gujarat at number five.
