Yashasvi Jaiswal created history by making the biggest score in Edgbaston, Birmingham as an Indian opener in Test cricket. He achieved this achievement on the first day of the second Test match against England. India is trying to overcome the five -wicket defeat in the headingley of Leeds in this match. 23 -year -old left -handed batsman Jaiswal scored 87 runs in 107 balls with the help of 13 fours. He was dismissed by England captain Ben Stokes in the post -lunch session.
Earlier this record was in the name of Sudhir Naik, who scored 77 runs in 165 balls against England captain Mike Denew in July 1974.
