Today is the last day of 2024. People are coming from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to celebrate. While people came to see snowfall in Kashmir-Himachal, people came to Kanyakumari to see the sunrise on the last day of the year.

The largest crowd is seen in the famous temples of the country. There is a kilometer long line outside Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Crowd has also reached Kashi Vishwanath-Banke Bihari temples.

Himachal government has announced to keep hotels, dhabas and restaurants open 24 hours till January 5. 20 thousand police personnel are being deployed in Delhi before the celebrations on the night of 31st December.

World population will be 809 crore on New Year

On New Year’s Day the world’s population will reach 809 crores. The population increased by more than 7.1 crore (0.9%) in the year 2024. In 2023, the world population would increase by 75 million people.

Uttar Pradesh: 1km long line in Hanumangarhi, 5 lakh devotees reach Kashi

The crowd of devotees has increased in the temples of UP. 5 lakh devotees-tourists have reached Kashi on New Year. There is a queue since midnight to have darshan of Baba Vishwanath. There is a queue of 1 kilometer at Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya. Devotees are able to have darshan after standing in line for 3-4 hours. 5 lakh people have visited Banke Bihari in Mathura in two days. Maharashtra: Firecrackers banned at Gateway of India

Mumbai Police has banned loud sound systems and fireworks at the Gateway of India and Marine Drive for New Year 2025 celebrations to prevent noise and fire hazards. More than 15,000 police personnel, including special teams, will be deployed. Police have appealed to people to celebrate responsibly and follow the rules.
