This time India will field a team of 20 players in the India Open Super 750 badminton tournament. Last season, 14 players participated in this tournament. Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu will lead the Indian contingent.
This tournament will be played at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall of Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi from January 14. Superstars like Olympic champion Victor Axelsen, Ann Se Young and world number 1 player Shi Yuqi will also be seen playing in this tournament.
Badminton Association of India General Secretary Sanjay Mishra issued a statement saying that the participation of so many Indian players in the Super 750 competition shows how much Indian badminton has developed at the world level.
