Thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s 48 runs, India U-19 defeated England U-19 by 6 wickets in the first Youth ODI. The English team batting after winning the toss at the County Ground How was reduced to 174 runs in 42.2 overs.

Kanishka Chauhan took 3 wickets from India. In response, in 24 overs, the Indian team scored 178 runs losing 4 wickets and won the match. Abhigyan Kundu scored an innings of 45 runs.

Vaibhav missed with half -century

Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 48 runs on 19 balls with the help of 5 sixes. He scored at a strike rate of 252.63. Vaibhav and Ayush Mhatre together shared a 71 -run partnership for the first wicket in 7.3 overs.

Apart from Vaibhav, Abhigyan Kundu scored 4 fours on 34 balls with 4 fours and a six. Vaibhav also bowled in the first ODI match. Vaibhav put a single over, in which he gave only two runs.

Andrew Flintoff’s son put fifty

Ishaq Mohammed, who came to open for England, scored a brilliant 42 runs. He hit 3 fours and 4 sixes in the innings. Andrew Flintoff’s son Rocky Flintoff scored the highest 56 runs for England. He also hit 3 fours and 3 sixes while facing 90 balls.

3 wickets to Kanishka Chauhan

For India, Kanishka Chauhan sent 3 English batsmen to the pavilion. He sent Joseph Moore (9 runs), Ralfi Albert (5 runs) and James Minto (10 runs) to the pavilion. Apart from them, Henil Patel, RS Ambrish and Mohammad Inan took 2-2 wickets. The second Youth ODI match will be played on 30 June.
