Britain’s Prime Minister Kir Stmper on Saturday warmly welcomed Ukrainian President Valodimir Jailonski at 10 Downing Street. Ukrainian leader arrived in London after a sharp noise at the White House with US President Donald Trump. He will attend the summit of the heads of state of 12 European countries on Sunday. Prior to this summit, when Jailonski arrived at the Downing Street Office on Saturday to talk to the PM stormer, the mob cheered him.
Keer stormer told Valodimir Jailonsky, ‘I hope you have heard people cheering for you on the road. These are the people of the United Kingdom, who have come down to demonstrate how much they support you… and the United Kingdom is determined to stand with you and Ukraine. The stormer told Jailonsky that Ukraine has full support of the United Kingdom. The British PM told Jailonsky, ‘We are always standing with you and Ukraine.’
Europe is united in favor of Ukraine
After the meeting with Donald Trump, other European leaders also released messages on social media in support of Ukraine. The development has exposed the differences between the US and Europe over the war between Ukraine and Russia for three years. The stormer spoke to both Trump and Jailonsky on Friday and French President Emmanuel Macron also met the US President in Washington this week. Jailonsky is also going to meet King Charles on Sunday. Britain has been a vocal supporter of Ukraine and King Charles has earlier expressed his support for President Jailonsky, praising the determination and freshness of the Ukrainian people in front of the Russia’s unprovoked attack.
Why did Trump and Jailonsky debate?
Let me tell you that Jailonsky had a sharp debate during a press conference with Trump at the Oval Office (US President’s office) on 1 March. Trump was insisting that the Ukrainian President should compromise with Russia for a ceasefire. But Jailonsky made it clear that Ukraine would not consider a ceasefire with Russia, as Putin has violated the ceasefire on several occasions before. Donald Trump was badly annoyed and called Jailonsky as a foolish president. The US President accused Jailonsky of gambling for the Third World War.
Trump also said that the Ukrainian President is not believing the favor of the US, due to which his country has been in the battlefield in front of Russia for three years. In the debate before the media in the Oval House, Trump said, President Jailonski is playing with millions of lives. Your country is in danger but you do not understand. You will eventually have to compromise with Russia. In response, Jailonsky said, we do not need a ceasefire. Trump said that Jailonsky has disrespect the US in the Oval Office. He can return to the White House again when ready for peace.
