Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, while inaugurating the exhibition named “The Human Cost of Terrorism” at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, gave a clear message that the world will now have to unite against terrorism. He urged the global community to unite and said that the terrorists should not get any exemption.
The Foreign Minister said, ‘Terrorists should not get exemption in any case, stop looking at them as proxy and should not bow down to any kind of nuclear blackmail.’ He insisted that India’s response to the Pahalgam attack underlines the message of zero tolerance towards terrorism.
‘Operation Sindoor’ and Pahalgam attack mention
Jaishankar mentioned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April in which 26 people were brutally murdered. He said that this heinous act was strongly condemned by the United Nations Security Council and demanded that its culprits be held accountable and they should be put in the dock of justice.

‘Wherever terrorism is, peace is threat to everywhere’
Jaishankar said, “Now it has become clear that if terrorism happens anywhere, it is a threat to the peace of the whole world. So it is necessary to expose and take action against any country sponsored terrorism. Foltoryism is the biggest threat to humanity.
The ravages of terror shown in the exhibition
Jaishankar addressed a large number of United Nations Ambassadors, Senior United Nations personnel, officials and messengers at the inauguration of the exhibition. Digital exhibitions showcased terrible terrorist attacks around the world.
The exhibition includes terrible scenes and details of incidents such as 1993 Mumbai Blast, 2008 Mumbai attacks, and 2024 Pahalgam attack. In this, the names of terrorist organizations and terrorists in Pakistan have also been revealed. Jaishankar said that this exhibition is the voice of people who can no longer speak, who are away from us and reminds us of the life devastated by the havoc of terrorism … It is a tribute to those innocent people whose lives were taken away by terrorism. ”
Global community shared responsibility
Jaishankar, in his address, appealed to the international community, saying, “We all have a shared and immediate responsibility to face every form and form of terrorism. There is no only remembrance, but needs to commit.”
