South Africa has tightened the grip in the first Test against Zimbabwe.

New Delhi. South Africa has tightened the hosts in the first Test match in Zimbabwe. On the second day of the Test match, South Africa took a lead of 216 runs till stumps and dominated the match. South Africa scored 49 runs for one wicket in the second innings at the time of stumps. Vian Mulder (25) was present at the crease with opener Tony de Jorji (22). Earlier, despite the century of Sean Williams, Zimbabwe’s first innings was reduced to 251 runs.

South Africa declared their first innings for 418 runs for 9 wickets after the first day of the match. After which Zimbabwe started his batting on Sunday. Sean Williams faced South African bowlers firmly with a 137 -run innings but did not get any batsman other than captain Craig Irwin (36) from the other end.

Keshav Maharaj completed a double century of wickets, became the first South African spinner to achieve this feat

The innings of 164 balls of Williams was stumped out by South Africa’s acting captain Keshav Maharaj (three wickets for 70 runs). Vian Mullder took four wickets for 50 runs in 16 overs for South Africa’s acting captain Keshav Maharaj (three wickets for 70 runs). South African young player Luan-Dre Pretorius (153) earlier became the youngest player to score 150 runs in men’s Test cricket on Saturday. This is South Africa’s first Test match in 11 years in neighboring Zimbabwe.
