Brian Bennett scored the first century of his Test career.
The first match of the Test series is being played between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan in Bulawayo. On Friday, Zimbabwe scored 586 runs in the first innings. Shaun Williams, captain Craig Irwin and Brian Bennett scored centuries from the team. By the end of the second day’s play, Afghanistan lost 2 wickets for 95 runs.
Williams out on 154 Zimbabwe started the second day with a score of 363/4. Shaun Williams led his innings with 145 runs and Craig Irwin with 56 runs. Williams was out after scoring 154 runs. After him, Irwin took over the innings with Bennett.

Afghanistan lost 2 wickets Afghanistan also started its first innings on the very second day. The team lost the wicket of Sediqullah Atal for just 3 runs. Atal scored 3 runs. After him Abdul Malik made a partnership of 61 runs with Rahmat Shah. Abdul was out after scoring 23 runs.
At the end of the day’s play, Rahmat remained not out on 49 and captain Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 16 runs. The team scored 95 runs. Trevor Gwandu and Blessing Muzarabani got 1 wicket each from Zimbabwe.
Navid Zadran took 2 wickets in the first innings for Afghanistan.
Williams’ century on the first day On Thursday, Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to bat. Joylord Gumby was out after scoring 9 runs. Ben Curran played an inning of 68 runs, before him T Kaytano scored 46 runs. After Curran’s wicket, Shaun Williams along with Kaytano took the score beyond 150. He scored a century.
Ben Curran scored 68 runs in his debut test. He is the brother of England all-rounders Sam and Tom Curran.
