India’s Aavriti Choudhary is en route to creating history, so learn more and shower your support!
Destined to win the crown should be the title of her autobiography! While most of us dream of wearing the prestigious crown and walk the ramp during our childhood, Aavriti had a similar vision. But as she grew up, she lost track of her childhood ambition and focused on achieving a degree in Bachelor's of Business Administration and a career in the cooperate world. However, while participating in college events, she realized how she loved the ramp and being in front of the camera. It was not easy to convince her parents about her choice of career to be a part of the modeling industry, but with the support of her sister, she was able to convince her parents and make it to the city of dreams - Mumbai.
Soon after, she applied to participate in LIVA Miss Diva 2020, worked hard to prove herself, and was finally rewarded with the national title. But due to the pandemic, she had a completely different reign, unlike former winners, but she did not let that affect her and made use of all the time she had. As a result, Aavriti had an incredible transformation, inside out and all the hard work she put in during a year-long training now beautifully reflects in her performance at the global platform. "It's been a long journey, but the time has finally come," exclaimed the queen, who is thrilled to represent her country at Miss Supranational 2021.
Opening up her reign amid the pandemic, she said, "When the lockdown was announced, to be honest; I was pretty sad because of the the fact that I wouldn't be able to attend any award functions or events that the previous winners got to be a part of, because that was the only glam side, between the rough and tough training we go through for pageants."
Using the digital platform as her primary tool to communicate with her fans and followers and to raise awareness on various issues, Aavriti cruised to a beautiful reign. Being a victim of bullying in high school, Aavriti wanted to share her experience and help many others rebuild their self-esteem and confidence like she did. "I have been a victim of bullying, and hence, I wanted to speak about mental health, as it becomes a hindrance in your growth, your personality, and it holds you back from reaching your potential. So when I was dealing with all of that, my self-confidence took a hit, my self-esteem took a hit, so I had to bring myself out of that. I educated myself about mental health and basically learned how to deal with my emotions and thoughts and rebuild myself with everything that I learned from under the umbrella of mental health. And as I was able to help myself, I realized that there are many people out there who go through similar problems, and I wanted to help them as well because I know how it feels to be in that place. And if I would have let it affect me any longer, I think I wouldn't be the person that I am today."
She aimed to break the social stigma around mental health, prevent suicides, and even volunteered to feed the needy amid the pandemic.
Her courage is really admirable, and we hope she finds a bigger platform to continue to shine brighter, to be an inspiration to many not just in India but across the globe. So, with just one more day left to show your love and support, cast your vote now and help her win a spot in the TOP 12!
