Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI sector is expected to get a large number of jobs in the world including India. But these opportunities of AI Jobs are also ready to become a new challenge for companies because it is not possible to complete the supply of skilled professionals as per the requirement.
The report of Bain & Company has claimed that more than 23 lakh people will be needed in AI sector in the next two years i.e. in the next two years in India. However, the country may face a shortage of more than 1 million skilled professionals.
AI experts demand
The report said that to fulfill the increasing demand for AI experts, India will have to train the existing talent again and equip them with better skills. This will increase the number of skilled professionals, and will also speed up adopting AI.
According to Bain & Co., India has a big opportunity to establish itself as a global AI talent center. By 2027, jobs in the AI sector are estimated to be one and a half to 2 times the availability of talent.
The report said that since 2019, AI -related jobs have risen around the world and they are growing at the rate of 21 percent every year. During this period, the salary of AI professionals has also increased by 11 percent annually.
However, despite the boom in demand and attractive salary, there is a lack of talented professionals. Due to this, the difference between talent is increasing continuously, due to which the pace of adopting AI is slowing down. According to Ben & Co., there is a need to adopt multidimensional approach to overcome the shortage of AI professionals.
Lack of AI professionals worldwide
In this, companies will have to focus on skill development to look out of the traditional methods of hiring and develop inner talent. This trend of lack of AI professionals is being seen in countries around the world. According to Bain & Co., one of the two AI jobs in America can remain vacant by 2027.
In the next two years, the demand for AI job in America can be more than 13 lakhs. But the supply is estimated to be less than 6.45 lakhs. Germany may have the highest decrease of AI talent where by 2027, about 70 percent of AI -related jobs will remain vacant, where only 62 thousand AI professionals will be available for 1.90 to 2.19 lakh jobs.
In Britain, only 1.05 lakh employees will be available for 2.55 lakh AI jobs in 2027. In Australia too, there is a possibility of lack of more than 60 thousand AI professionals. That is, in the coming years, AI can prove to be a trump card for those looking for a white collar job.
