ILLEGAL Indian Immigrants: Central American country Costa Rika has agreed to temporarily accept Indian migrants exiled from the US. This announcement has been made by the office of Costa Rica President Rodrigo Chaws Rawobals. He informed that this exile will start from Wednesday (February 19) under the funded program of America. Exempted migrants will be detained in a temporary center near the border of Panama, where their future will be decided.
At the moment, Costa Rica or America has not made it clear what will happen to them after the migrants in Costa Rica were detained. Under this agreement, the US will set a detention center to stop a large number of deported migrants. The President’s Office said that Costa Rica will help America in sending 200 illegal migrants back to their country.
India agreed to withdraw 18,000 illegal migrants
India has agreed to withdraw at least 18,000 illegal migrants in the US. Under this, America has started sending them back directly to India. On Monday (17 February), the third aircraft landed in Amritsar, Punjab, with 112 illegal migrants. This step is an important step towards resolving the issue of illegal migrants between Indian and US governments.

During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Washington last week, he made it clear that India would withdraw any verified Indian illegal migrants in America. Along with this, PM Modi also insisted on taking strict action against human smugglers.

Apart from Costa Rica, the US has also made similar agreements with Al Salvador, Panama and Guatemala, where exiled migrants are being detained. Last week, illegal migrants from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and China were sent to Panama.
