Mathisa Pathirana described Dhoni as his father in cricket.
New Delhi. Mathisa Pathirana, the young fast bowler of Chennai Super Kings, has described former captain of the team Mahendra Singh Dhoni as his father in cricket. This Sri Lankan fast bowler made his IPL debut in 2022. Since then he is in his team with Dhoni. Pathirana is an emerging fast bowler in world cricket. In a video uploaded by CSK on social media platforms, Emotional Pathirana and her parents told what kind of support he got from Dhoni in the IPL.
Matheesha Pathirana said, “Dhoni is like my father because the support, guidance and advice given to me in CSK is exactly the same as my father did at home.” Pathirana has become the prominent fast bowler of the team since his debut for CSK. He is now the main bowler of captain Rituraj Gaikwad, especially in the case of taking wickets.
