New Delhi. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vice -captain Venkatesh Iyer gave his team victory by collecting a brilliant fifty on Thursday. He scored 60 runs in 29 balls. All -rounder Venkatesh Iyer spoke after this innings that often plays the players survived. Iyer says that he does not mean that he will have to make a big score in every match.
KKR (KKR) had again connected Venkatesh Iyer to his team using the right to match card in the mega auction. Iyer was able to score only nine runs in the first two matches. Venkatesh Iyer said after the match, ‘I will not lie, there is some pressure. You guys are discussing so much about this. But (in KKR) being the highest amount of money does not mean that I have to score runs in every match. He said, ‘It is associated with how I can win the match for the team and what effect I can have. There is no pressure about how much money I am getting or how many runs I am scoring. This kind of pressure has never been on me.
Asked if the pressure of being the highest amount of money in KKR finally withdrawn, Venkatesh smiled and stained the opposite question. He said, ‘You tell me. I am saying from the beginning of the IPL that it does not matter whether you are getting 20 lakh or 20 crores. I am a player of the team who wants to contribute to the team’s victory.
