Ied blast in south waziristan: A mosque exploded in a mosque during Namaz on Friday (March 14, 2025) in southern Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) district chief Abdulla Nadeem was seriously injured in this attack, while three others suffered minor injuries.
According to The Dawn report, District Police Officer (DPO) Asif Bahadar said that the blast took place at Maulana Abdul Aziz Mosque on Azam Warsak bypass road. At 1:45 pm, the Pulpit of the mosque was installed improvised explosive device (IED), which was exploded during the prayer of Jumme.
According to DPO, the other three persons among the injured have been identified as Rahmanullah, Mulla Noor and Shah Behran. All the injured were immediately admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
Police investigation continues
Police said that investigation has been started at the blast site and evidence is being collected. Security agencies are looking for potential attackers behind this incident.
